PTT

Post by JD_LincsUK » 19 Oct 2016, 01:30

Hi all,

don't know if this ute is still being developed, but I have most and DWVAC is still my favourite by far.

My one wish above all else, is to be able to assign a PTT button on my controller. I know this can be set by voice command in the VAC builder, but to be honest I've found it to be unreliable. As I use a VR headset, having to use the keyboard is not ideal.

A press to talk button would be the best way to get around this - especially when I am making YouTube videos and therefore talking most of the time, without issuing commands. This often causes unwanted virtual key presses. A PTT would be simple and efficient for the user.

Logitech G940, though I have the Cougar MFDs, too, which I'm able to use with the VR headset on.

Using the Cougar assign a joystick button to press the middle mouse button.
Next in VAC assign the middle mouse button as the PTT.

You can now use your joystick button as a PTT in VAC.

Thank you - I'll have a look at that :)

Although the cougar MFDs don't have any assigning software included, but I'll check it out.

OK, thanks Ron - I found that I can assign a button on my G940 HOTAS to the MMB, so I'll do that instead.

Sorted
